Sanatana Dharma says
that the Paramatma which pervades the whole universe is also in our
heart: but we have to make efforts to understand it. We are happy
that the multi-volume Encyclopedia of Hinduism and Indic Religions
will bring out lucidly all the greatness of Sanatana Dharma in all
its forms. In the interest of the humanity, we wish all the devotees
to extend their patronage and help for this holy endeavour. We wish
the Project all success.

Sanatana Dharma is
the most ancient and insightful among the Dharmas of the world; it
is called Hinduism today. Our Vedas, Sastra, Puranas and Itihasas
have dealt with it extensively. That efforts are being made to publish
the Encyclopedia of Hinduism mainly to bring this Dharma within the
easy reach of one and all is most laudable. We wish to send our blessing
for the success of this venture.

I extend my blessing
and best wishes for the Encyclopedia of Hinduism project! Let each
volume bring into relief the humanity and catholicity of Hinduism.
Hindu acceptance of the validity of and respect for other religions
should be highlighted. Hindu stands for (i) humanity (ii) integrity
(iii) nationality (iv) divinity and (V) universality; and these features
are to be stressed in its presentation of the Hindu tradition. Your
efforts will succeed ultimately, and you will have the full cooperation
of our Institute of Higher Education.

Sanatana Vedic Hinduism
is an eternal and unfathomable ocean. Hidden beneath its surface are
the pearls of wisdom and essence of life. Many sages and great men
have travelled on the path of this philosophy and have reached their
ultimate goal of finding the truth and experiencing total enlightenment
They left behind their legacy to inspire and help mankind. I strongly
believe that this Encyclopedia will be of great help to the future
philosophy of Vedic Hinduism to contribute to and assist in this noble
cause.

One sixth of the human
family is Hindu, yet until now we had no authentic reference to which
people of all faiths could turn to explore this oldest and wisest
of traditions. The more knowledge the world has about the Hindu Dharma,
the less will be the myth, misunderstanding, and misinformation. Now
the time has come, and the IHRF is forging ahead. Let us join together
to help them make this the finest work of its kind anywhere.

The Encyclopedia is
truly a historical landmark in the progressive development of our
ancient Vedic faith. This laudable project has deep significance in
the contest of our world of fast shrinking distances, vanishing borders
and expanding universalism. May the immortal spirit of our ancient
sages and seers bless this project

"Sanatana Dharma
explains the way for attaining liberation according to each individual's
stage in life. However, there are a number of concepts in Sanatana
Dharma which are rarely understood in true depth. The "Encyclopedia
of Hinduism" would go a long way toward explaining the real meaning
of each concept. We send our blessings and pray to Mother Supreme
to bless this venture with grand success."

"This morning
I said to myself, "Oh, my soul ! It is time you turned inwards
and touched the depths of your consciousness. And you must spend your
energies in serving those who suffer and are in pain, Can life hold
a higher privilege than this - to be an instrument of God's mercy
in this world of darkness and despair?" Is this not, also the
teaching that you have given us, again and again? With loving salutations
of the Spirit."
