Our holy scriptures say
that to immerse the ashes of a loved one in the holy waters of Mother
Ganga is to release their soul from bondage and to help their spirit
progress toward liberation. It is, therefore, every family's deepest
wish to perform this sacred final rite for their loved ones. People
travel from across the world to Haridwar, Rishikesh, Varanasi and
other holy cities in order to immerse their loved ones' ashes in Ma
Ganga's holy waters. |

Therefore, by the grace of Mother Ganga, under the inspiration and guidance of H.H. Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji (Pujya Muniji) IHRF has started a divine "Ash Immersion" program.
In this program, pure, traditional, pious puja will be done for your loved one’s remains, at no charge. You will be assured that the sacred rites are performed on the banks of Mother Ganga, according to ancient scriptures, by trained
priests, brahmacharis and rishikumars.

 |
| The program
can take place in one of two ways:
1. You can come personally to Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh
(Himalayas) where puja will be arranged according to your schedule.
All boarding and lodging will be provided for you at the ashram.
As soon as the new ashram in Veerpur is ready (see page 16), the
ceremony will be performed there.
2. OR, if it
is not possible for you to make the journey yourself or to send
family members, you can send the ashes to us by post, with a letter
including the details of the deceased (name, date of death, place
of prior residence, names of mourning family members). Puja will
be conducted here for you, and an acknowledgment and prasad will
be sent to you afterwards.
