December 23rd marked the official opening of seven new schools in this rural, Himalayan area between Rishikesh and Dehra Dun. there are four children's schools and three women's vocational training / handicrafts centers. Classes have been running since July (the beginning of the Indian school year), but we had the special inauguration ceremony in December; it was a celebration filled with song, dance and the joy of new hope, These schools are serving numerous villages including Athurwala and Ghamandpur.
